How to Buy Tickets
Tickets for HAMILTON go on sale in Salt Lake City on Friday, February 9 at 10 a.m. Demand for tickets is high and we expect to sell out quickly. To improve your odds of getting Hamilton tickets, please use the Hamilton Ticketing Tips and FAQ below.
Please note that ArtTix is the ONLY authorized source for HAMILTON tickets in Salt Lake. If you purchase tickets from any other source, we cannot guarantee your seats.
Hamilton Ticketing Tips
Online is your best shot. Your best option for purchasing tickets will be online at arttix.artsaltlake.org. Tickets will not be sold by phone. If you call in to buy tickets, we will redirect you to our website, arttix.artsaltlake.org.
Confirm your ArtTix account. Make sure you have an ArtTix account and that your username and password are valid and working before Friday morning. Already have an account? Call 801-355-ARTS (355-2787) before 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 8th.
Know before you buy. Decide now which performance and price you want. Print out the list of performances dates and prices below. Keep a hard copy for reference. Don’t wait until Friday morning. Tickets range from $75-$165 plus applicable fees, with a limited number of $300 premium seats available for each performance. Best availability is for performances April 18 to May 6.
Ticket limits will apply. There is a limit of four (4) tickets per household address to allow as many people as possible to see the show. After all available tickets are sold, all of the online purchases will be reviewed. Any and all purchases found violating the HAMILTON ticket policy will be canceled without further consideration. There are no group sales for HAMILTON.
Don’t be too quick to click! Type in the web address, arttix.artsaltlake.org, to guarantee you are accessing the official ArtTix site for tickets. If you do a search, you’ll find many sites offering tickets for sale. Be sure the address in your browser reads https://arttix.artsaltlake.org.
Only use one browser or tab. Using multiple browsers could make you look like a ticket bot which could cause you to be kicked out of the ticket buying process.
Virtual waiting room. On Friday morning, log in to arttix.artsaltlake.org between 9-10 a.m. You will be placed in a virtual waiting room. At 10 a.m. everyone in the waiting room will be assigned a random place in line. Once you are randomly assigned, your place in line is secure as long as you stay online. Patrons logging on after 10 a.m. will be placed in order at the back of the line. If you are still in the waiting room and the tickets sell out, you will be notified with a message on your screen that there are no tickets left.
Now, buy tickets! Once you reach the buying page, you have 20 minutes to complete your purchase. You cannot select specific seats, but you will be able to choose from seating sections and prices. Remember – you’re allowed 4 tickets per household address and all sales are final. Once tickets are selected DO NOT REFRESH YOUR BROWSER or you will lose your place in line. Wait times could be over an hour. Confirm the date and time before you purchase; there are no refunds or exchanges.
Congratulations, you got tickets! After you purchase your tickets, you will receive a confirmation email. Hang on to your confirmation as it has your order number and other important information. Your physical tickets will be mailed to you in March – there are no electronic tickets for HAMILTON. If you do not receive your tickets by mail, you may pick up tickets in Will Call two hours before showtime on the day of your show. You must show valid photo ID that matches the name of the original purchaser; there are no exceptions. Darn, I didn’t get tickets. If you didn’t get tickets, there is still hope! HAMILTON holds a ticket drawing before every show. Protect your investment. Each ticket has a one-of-a-kind barcode. Sharing this bar code on line can compromise your tickets. Do not share a photo of your HAMILTON tickets with anyone – especially on social media. Keep them in a safe place. Don’t get scammed! If you follow the steps above, you should avoid unintentionally buying tickets from scalpers hoping to make enormous profits by reselling tickets at many times face value. Here are a few simple BUYER BEWARE tips:
- Purchase your tickets from artsaltlake.org and ArtTix ONLY!
- Ticket prices exceeding $300 at the on sale. Most tickets in Salt Lake City will not exceed $165 (plus applicable fees) at the on sale. There are a select number of $300 premium seats available for each performance. If you see tickets for hundreds or thousands of dollars, you are probably buying from a third-party ticket broker. There is no guarantee these tickets are genuine. Tickets purchased from a re-seller do not come with customer service support from ArtTix.
- Email ticket delivery. If someone offers to email you HAMILTON tickets, you are buying from a ticket reseller and your ticket is not guaranteed. There are NO electronic tickets for the Salt Lake run of HAMILTON.

Is there an age requirement?
HAMILTON is appropriate for ages 10+ since there is some strong language. All patrons must have a ticket and there are no babes in arms
Why are tickets so limited for some performances?
Tickets are limited because Broadway Across America -Utah Season Subscribers had first access to this event.
Can I get on a waiting list for tickets?
No, there is no waiting list for HAMILTON tickets. We encourage you to enter the daily ticket drawing; for details, subscribe to our E-Club at Broadway-at-the-Eccles.com or follow Broadway at the Eccles on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
Are there any discounts available?
No, there are no ticket discounts for HAMILTON.
Why are you using a virtual waiting room and randomly sorting everyone in line?
This is an important tool for combatting ticket brokers and it guarantees you keep your virtual place in line. You will get regular updates on your wait time and ticket availability.
Will you be releasing more tickets once it sells out?
Any additional inventory will be released for sale if and when it becomes available.
Will there be Open Caption and ASL performances?
Yes. Captioned performances are on April 14th at 2 p.m. and May 5th at 8 p.m. The ASL performance is on April 25th at 7:30 p.m.
What is the running time for HAMILTON?
Running time is 2 hours and 45 minutes including intermission.
